The Osprey

I was told about a location where a great horned owl had nested. Once at the location I found a huge nest but no owls. All I saw was what I though was a gull on a tree branch. Then all of a sudden a huge bird was flying overhead. I didn't know what it was but I took a few pictures of it. It turns out that I found an osprey nest and both of the birds were osprey. A very cool sighting.

When walking around a marina there are all different kinds of boats. This one caught my eye. It just has so much character, from its wood hull to tire fender. Once I got home I made this one a black and white. It just looks like it could have been taken when black and white was the only choice.

First Blog Post!!

Hi everybody! Welcome to Hangar77!

I am setting up this blog as motivation to go out and take more pictures. The Goal here is to be able to post something new every week. So lets get to it!!

Yesterday afternoon we went out on a very short walk in a local marina. One of the cool shots I got was of this cat. He was hanging out near the bait shop. I'm sure he gets his fair share of tasty bait and treats.
